Clark Waterfall, TalentBench Advisory Board
Clark Waterfall is the co-founder and Managing Director of BSG Team Ventures, formerly the Boston Search Group, a boutique retained executive search firm focused on recruiting builder-leaders for the growth industries sector.

Over the last 25 years in executive search, Clark has remained focused on privately-held, investor-backed clients both private equity and venture-backed. Clark has a multispecialty sector focus that includes software, Internet, healthcare IT, technology-enabled business process outsourcing services, and medical devices. He also co-leads the firm’s energy/cleantech practice with London-based Dr. Simon Haworth, focusing on renewable energy with a track record in solar, wind, biofuels, water, and green chemistry.

Clark’s volunteerism mirrors his passion for entrepreneurship, innovation, and social responsibility. This includes past roles as board member of the MIT Enterprise Forum’s Cambridge Chapter, National Board Director for the Cleantech Open (www.cleantechopen.org) and charter member of boutique retained search firm organizations Partners Search Alliance (www.partnerssearchalliance.com) and the internationally focused Tinzon Group (www.tinzongroup.com). As an active founder in the firm, Clark has been a long-time member of EO (www.eonetwork.org) with volunteer leadership roles both in the local Boston chapter as Chapter President and at the global level as EO Eastern Regional Director.

Prior to his career in executive search, Clark’s career began in the banking industry in sales and sales management including with Citicorp/Citibank. Before receiving his MBA at Babson’s Olin School of Management, Clark did his undergraduate studies in a double–degree program at Tufts University in English literature and the New England Conservatory of Music in classical percussion performance. Clark is a member of the Board of Overseers for the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra led by conductor Benjamin Zander (http://www.bostonphil.org/).

Outside of work, Clark lives in MetroWest Boston with veterinarian wife and two children, squeezing in as much tennis, triathlon training and crazed mountain-biking as work-life balance allows.
